Erin Fearn, the manager of homeless scheme Common Ground Sydney in Australia visited Arlington on 22 February 2013 to see how the service helps to support homeless people in London.

Erin learned about the various employment and training programmes we deliver to our customers to help them achieve independent living. She also enjoyed a tour of the building, including our on-site construction workshop and employment academy.

Potential partnership opportunities between the two projects were also explored during the visit.

Head of Arlington, Jason Pryce-Kennedy said: “It was a pleasure having Erin with us at Arlington. By working together, we can all ensure we continue to provide a high quality support service for our customers and continue tackling homelessness in our respective areas. We look forward to collaborating with Common Ground Sydney on future opportunities, sharing innovation and good practice with a committment to ending homelessness.”

Similar to the Arlington model, Common Ground Sydney’s set-up is inspired by the Times Square scheme, run by Common Ground in New York.
