Will Quince MP, Minister for Family Support, Housing and Child Maintenance, paid a visit to One Housing’s employment and training centre - One Academy – this week to find out more about our work supporting people into fulfilling employment.

Our team at One Housing have supported over 250 people into work in the last year, using a mixture of 1-1 support, training sessions and creative programmes to build skills and confidence.

The Minister also had the chance to look around Arlington House, the largest mixed-use hostel in the UK, which is owned and managed by One Housing. As well as giving homeless people a safe place to stay, Arlington features our modern employment and training centre, affordable studio flats for low-income workers, commercial space for businesses and social enterprises and a state-of-the-art conference venue.

One Housing invests around £830,000 per year in employment and training. This is part of the £70m a year Housing Associations spend on employment and training support programmes across the UK.
