Work and training

Arlington's work and training programme helps homeless people gain valuable qualifications and skills to enable them to get a job which ensures that their path to independent living is achievable.

Our work and training programme is for those who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness and are either living at Arlington, are a One Support customer, or are customers within the Camden hostel pathway. It can be accessed through Arlington's Employment Academy. Customers visit the Employment Academy and work together with an employment co-ordinator to identify suitable opportunities.

Customers undertake an employability assessments including a basic numeric and literacy assessment. They are then supported to identify routes to opportunities in volunteering or training through either onsite training programmes or voluntary placements.
