Anti social behaviour

Anti social behaviour (ASB) is any activity that has a negative impact on a community or a individual’s quality of life. 

ASB can affect people in many different ways.

Anti social behaviour includes:

  • hate-related incidents (based on race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, gender, disability, religion, age, etc)
  • physical or domestic violence
  • verbal abuse, harassment, intimidation or threatening behaviour by individuals or groups of people
  • noise nuisance
  • drugs and substance misuse or drug dealing
  • alcohol related disorders
  • loitering or misuse of communal areas or public spaces
  • pets and animal nuisance
  • littering and flytipping
  • vandalism and damage to property
  • garden nuisance
  • nuisance from vehicles
  • prostitution, sexual acts or kerb crawling.
